Volunteers Services for ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”

Local Bucks County business offers help for Levittown family

Chalfont based, Bauman Crane Company, Inc. will be volunteering their services on Saturday March 10th, 2007 for a Levittown family chosen by “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”.

The home, located on Cobalt Ridge Drive East in Levittown, is set to be demolished on Friday, and building of the new home will start immediately. Bauman Crane Company, Inc. will have a crane and operator, as well as ground men, available for the entire day on Saturday to lift materials and help erect the new home.

Founder and President of Bauman Crane Company, Frank Bauman, is excited to be a part of the process,

“When McGrath Homes contacted us about offering our services for the show,” recalls Bauman,

“we thought it would be a great opportunity to give something back to the community that we have been a part of for so many years.”

Frank Bauman started the company in 1965, originally as a sign installation company, and soon realized that crane rentals were in strong demand. The company was purchased in 2001, by a company employee, David Kemmerer.

“This company is a family to us,” says Kemmerer, “what better way to share our family spirit than to help out another family in need.”

Bauman Crane Company Inc., is made up of 13 employees and 14 cranes, whose business in the five county area for the past 42 years has consisted mostly of residential building, air conditioner lifts, and tree work.
